Alfred Ötsch (born May 10, 1953 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian manager .

Alfred Ötsch studied economics at the Vienna University of Economics .

Ötsch started his career at Siemens Austria in 1978 as an informant for the management board and in 1983 moved to Siemens Germany, where he was responsible for Switzerland, France and Belgium.

In 1986 he returned to Siemens Austria, where he became a board member in 1993. Before moving back to the Board of Management of Siemens Austria in 2005, he was Divisional Board Member at Siemens in Germany for Automation and Drives.

In spring 2006, Alfred Ötsch was appointed a member of the board of the Austrian Airlines Group and shortly thereafter CEO . In 2008, when CFO Thomas Kleibl resigned, he was also appointed CFO .

During his time as a member of the Management Board, the sale of Austrian Airlines to Lufthansa was initiated. On January 29, 2009, his transfer was surprisingly announced, although his contract was supposed to run until March 2011.

From July 2015 to December 2016 he was a board member of SC Wiener Neustadt .
