Johann Christoph Schreiter
Johann Christoph Schreiter (born June 26, 1770 in Mauersberg , Electorate of Saxony , † August 10, 1821 in Kiel ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran theologian and professor at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel .
Life
Schreiter worked as archdeacon in Schleusingen from 1809 to 1815 . On January 16, 1815, the King of Denmark, who at that time was in Vienna for the Congress of Vienna , appointed him full professor of theology at the University of Kiel . In 1818/19 he was rector of the CAU.
His son was the theologian Theodor Hilmar Schreiter (1807–1868).
