Alfred Baum (canoeist)
Alfred Baum (born February 10, 1952 in Wickede (Ruhr) ) is a former German canoeist .
Tree launched the canoe sports club Kanu Schwaben Augsburg , the canoe sports department of TSV Schwaben Augsburg , in the canoe slalom . His greatest successes include three German championship titles in single kayaks in 1970, 1972 and 1973. At the Canoe Slalom World Championships in 1971 , he won the bronze medal in the team classification and finished fifth in the individual classification. At the 1972 Olympics , he came fifth in a single kayak. Today he lives in Echthausen , a district of Wickede (Ruhr) .
