Ice channel

With the construction of the ice canal for the 1972 Summer Olympics, Augsburg also received the Federal Center for Canoe Slalom and White Water , which has also had the status of an Olympic base since 1992 . Together with the second successful Augsburg canoeing club , the Augsburger Kajak-Verein , Kanu Schwaben Augsburg still operates the ice canal. In addition, the two clubs jointly set up the Augsburg Canoe Museum in 2003 .
