Claudia Bär (born April 9, 1980 in Augsburg ; † September 28, 2015 in Ulm ) was a German canoeist . Bär rode in the canoe slalom in the women's kayak discipline .

Life

Bär was born and raised in Augsburg and started for Kanu Schwaben Augsburg . Bär was a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr . Bär celebrated her greatest success as the 2011 European champion in a single kayak in La Seu d'Urgell (Spain).

Private life

Claudia Bär lived with her boyfriend, the canoeist Sideris Tasiadis , in Augsburg. On September 28, 2015, she died of leukemia in the Ulm University Hospital at the age of 35 . She was buried in the cemetery in Kissing .
