Fabian Dörfler (born September 8, 1983 in Bayreuth ) is a German slalom canoeist . He starts for the Kanu Schwaben Augsburg club .

Dörfler won the men's single kayak (K1) title at the 2005 Canoe Slalom World Championships . At the 2007 World Championships , he won the silver medal behind the French Sebastien Combot in the individual competition and won his second world title in the team with Alexander Grimm and Erik Pfannmöller . In 2005 and 2007 he was also able to win the overall World Cup in K1. In 2013 he reached 3rd place in this competition.

In the national qualification for the only German starting place for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, he lost to Alexander Grimm, who became Olympic champion there.
