from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2007 Canoe Slalom World Championships took place from September 19-23 , 2007 in Foz do Iguaçu , Brazil . The International Canoe Association was responsible together with the Brazilian Canoe Association ( Confederação Brasileira de Canoagem ).

The competitions took place below the Itaipú dam on the Río Paraná . Due to the remote location and the event in an area not accessible to the public, there were practically no spectators. While the favorites prevailed in the men's disciplines, the German Jennifer Bongardt surprised the kayak women with her first title win.
