Alfred Bonnemann

Alfred Bonnemann (born March 18, 1904 in Cologne , † June 2, 1979 in Hann. Münden ) was a German forest scientist and professor at the forestry faculty of the University of Göttingen in Hann. Münden (1955–1972).

Life

Bonnemann studied at the forest academies in Hann. Münden and Eberswalde . He received his doctorate in 1939 with the topic: The mixed forest of the same age of pine and beech. After serving in the war and as a prisoner of war, he headed the forestry teaching office in Gahrenberg as a forester from 1949. From 1959 to 1972 Bonnemann held the professorship for silviculture in the forestry faculty of the University of Göttingen in Hann. Münden. He completed his habilitation on the subject of mixed oak and beech stands .

During his creative time Bonnemann a. a. Chairman of the Committee for Silvicultural Therminology in the International Association of Forest Research Institutes (IUFRO).
