Alfred Breit
Alfred Breit (born April 16, 1922 in Wolnzach ; † May 20, 2011 ) was a German physician .
Career
Breit studied at the University of Munich . From 1956 he was chief physician at the Passau Clinic. In 1978, he followed a call to the chair for radiation therapy at the Technical University of Munich . At the same time he was director of the institute and the polyclinic for radiation therapy and radiological oncology at Klinikum rechts der Isar until his retirement in 1992 , which he led to international renown. He was a pioneer in the use of new imaging methods to optimize radio-oncological therapy methods.
