Alfred Hansen (born June 17, 1894 , † October 18, 1948 at Hommelvik ) was a Norwegian politician and mayor of Tromsøysund , one of the forerunners of the later city of Tromsø .

Life

He was born the son of Hans Henrik Irgens Andreassen (1854–1913) and Ane Katrine Jakobsen (1864–1928). In 1929 he became mayor of Tromsøysund. He initially held the office until 1931. A second term followed from 1935. After the occupation of Norway by German troops in 1940 during the Second World War , he had to give up the office. After the end of the war, he took over the post a third time in May 1945.

On October 2, 1948, he had an accident in the plane crash of the Bukken Bruse flying boat . Of the 45 people on board, 19 people, including Alfred Hansen, were killed. His body was the only one that wasn't found.

Hansen was married to Petra Konstanse Hansen , née Stenvold (1895–1992). The marriage had three children.

The Alfred Hansen Memorial was erected in Tromsø in honor of Alfred Hansen .
