Alfred Milatz

Alfred Milatz (* 1916 ; † 1999 ) was a German historian and party researcher.

Milatz received his doctorate from the University of Hamburg in 1949 . He was instrumental in founding the Commission for the History of Parliamentarism and Political Parties and was its General Secretary from 1952 to 1980. His successor was Martin Schumacher .

From 1969 to 1978 he was a member of the Advisory Board of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation .
