Alfred Platow

Alfred Platow (born August 28, 1946 in Düsseldorf ) is a German businessman and financial advisor. He is CEO of Ökoworld AG . Platow is considered a pioneer in the field of ethical-ecological funds . On the occasion of his 70th birthday in 2016, he explained to the investment models he founded that his customers trusted "in a capitalism that does not lose sight of being human."

Career

In accordance with the wishes of his parents, who were both tax advisors, Platow initially trained as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant. But soon he turned to a social profession, worked in kindergarten and studied social work in Düsseldorf, his fellow student was Renate Künast . In Düsseldorf he was part of the squatter scene, and he took part in the anti-nuclear movement in Lüchow-Dannenberg.

In 1975 he and the mathematician Klaus Odenthal founded the "Alfred & Klaus - collective insurance agency" in Hilden , which was finally called Versiko in 1982 , which was later renamed Ökoworld AG.

Also in 1995, was in Luxembourg , the Ökovision Lux SA registered as an investment company - with the support of versiko and Ökobank . In 1996 the first fund was issued under the name Ökovision . This investment fund was later renamed Ökoworld Ökovision Classic .

Current activities

Alfred Platow and Torsten Müller form the board of Ökoworld AG .

Since 2011 Platow has occasionally played in small roles in the crime series Tatort .
