Alfred Rinderspacher

Alfred Rinderspacher (* 1936 in Baden-Baden ) is a German bassoonist .

Life

Alfred Rinderspacher studied bassoon, violoncello and piano at the music academies in Mannheim, Frankfurt am Main and Freiburg from 1953 to 1960. In 1960 he became principal bassoonist in the orchestra of the Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern. From 1973 to 1988 he was a lecturer at the Saarland University of Music , Saarbrücken, where he was appointed professor in 1980. In addition, from 1981 to 1986 he had a teaching position at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim . In 1988 he was offered a full-time professorship there and taught the subjects of bassoon, chamber music and wind instruments until 2011. In 1993 he received an offer at the Berlin University of the Arts , which he did not accept. From 1994 to 1999 he was visiting professor at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts .

Rinderspacher gave numerous concerts as a soloist, chamber music and continuo player. He was u. a. Member of the West German Wind Soloists, the South West German Baroque Soloists and the Philharmonic Sextet Baden-Baden. He also took part in many recordings, radio and television recordings.

One of his pupils is Stefan Schweigert .

Awards

In 2001 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his artistic, educational and professional successes .

  2. Member of the selection committee in the music department of the German Academic Exchange Service ( DAAD )
  3. Special representative of the German Orchestra Association for questions of higher education and young talent
  4. Member of the German Science Council
  5. Lecturer and juror at various national and international chamber music courses and competitions in Germany, Sweden, Greece, Russia, Finland, Italy
  6. Member of the bassoon appointment committees of the music academies in Basel, Lübeck, Weimar and Frankfurt. Visiting professor and permanent subject examiner (subject matter expert) at the Music Academy (Musikhochschule) in Basel.
