Stefan Schweigert

Stefan Schweigert (born June 15, 1962 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German bassoonist .

Life

Stefan Schweigert has been studying bassoon with Alfred Rinderspacher in Kaiserslautern since 1972 and then studied with Klaus Thunemann at the Hanover University of Music . In addition to his temporary work with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra in Heilbronn , he was a member of the Federal Youth Orchestra . Since 1985 he has been principal bassoonist with the Berlin Philharmonic and has been teaching at the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic since 1987 . As a soloist he performed a. a. with the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Camerata Bern . During his participation in the Chamber Orchestra of Europe , at Gidon Kremer's Chamber Music Festival in Lockenhaus, in the wind ensemble Sabine Meyer and the Berlin Baroque Soloists , he emerged as a chamber musician .

Schweigert is a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Soloists and the winds of the Berlin Philharmonic .
