Alfred Steffen

Alfred Steffen (* 1963 in Bergheim , Erft ) is a German photographer.

Life

Alfred Steffen grew up in the district town of Bergheim on the left bank of the Rhine . There he attended the Gutenberg High School . After training as a photographer at the Lette-Verein in Berlin, he began working as a photographer for the lifestyle magazine Tempo in 1986 . Since then he has worked for magazines and newspapers such as Stern, SZ-Magazin (series: "Don't say anything!"), Max, Vogue and Zeit . His work has been exhibited in several group and solo exhibitions and published in books.

One of the first multimedia CD-ROMs appeared as an exhibition catalog to accompany an exhibition of his portraits in 1994. During the Love Parade in 1996, Steffen portrayed 250 participants in 25 hours. This resulted in the book Portrait of a Generation - The Love Parade Family Book , published by Taschen-Verlag. Alfred Steffen runs a photo studio in Berlin.
