Alfred Zellweger
Alfred Zellweger-Krüsi (born September 3, 1855 in Trogen AR ; † June 13, 1916 in Zurich ) was a Swiss electrical engineer, inventor and entrepreneur.
The son of Salomon Zellweger sat in on the telegraph factory of Matthäus Hipp , studied from 1874 to 1877 at the Zurich Polytechnic and then continued his education in Paris and London .
At the end of 1880, with his father's support, he was able to acquire Wilhelm Ehrenberg's company , Kuhn & Ehrenberg, telegraph workshop in Uster and Zurich , from which the global Zellweger Uster group later emerged. In 1886 he married Hermine Krüsi, the daughter of the pharmacist Johann Jakob Krüsi.
Two years after his death, Jakob Heusser-Staub acquired the majority of shares in the company.
