Alfred von Campe

Alfred von Campe (baptismal name: Alfred Eduard Erich Theodor) (* July 5, 1889 in Münster , † July 6, 1945 in Opole ) was a Prussian district administrator.

Life

Origin and family

Alfred von Campe was born as the second child of the married couple Friedrich von Campe (1858–1938), General of the Artillery and Anna von Wedelstaedt. He came from the ancient Lower Saxon noble family Campe . His brother Siegfried was district administrator in various districts of Prussia .

Professional background

He did military service in a field artillery regiment and was first lieutenant in the reserve and became a government assessor in Arnsberg before he was appointed to represent the administration of the Hamm District Office from March 16, 1922 to April 9, 1922 . On May 8, 1922, he was initially a substitute, provisional in June 1922, and finally, on November 1, 1922, District Administrator of the Halle district . In September 1933, due to the Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil placed on hiatus, he was on 1 November 1933, the Government Aurich transferred and has recently been Senior Government before 1 January 1940 in the place of the district administrator in Freiwaldau was admitted . He was in office there until 1945.
