Algimantas Maknys

Algimantas Maknys (born September 29, 1949 in Dvarciškė , district Lazdijai ) is a Lithuanian politician, mayor of Druskininkai .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1967 in Druskininkai, he completed his diploma in electromechanics at the Kauno politechnikos institutas in 1972 and became an engineer .

He worked in the company UAB “Druskininkų statyba” as an economist, from 2000 as deputy director of economics. From 1987 to 1988 he was deputy, from 1997 a member of the Druskininkai City Council, from 1997 to 2000 mayor of the Druskininkai municipality .

Since 1993 he has been a member of Tėvynės sąjunga - Lietuvos krikščionys demokratai .

He is married. With his wife Zinaida, he has children Marius, Virginija, Algimantas, Aurelija.
