Algirdas Šešelgis

Algirdas Šešelgis (born August 23, 1953 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian politician, Vice Minister for Social Protection and Labor (2013-2016), Vice Minister for Health (2008-2009 and since 2018).

Life

From 1971 to 1976, Šešelgis completed his degree in industrial engineering at the Inžinerinis statybos institutas in Vilnius . From 1990 to 2006 he was director of the UAB "Lietkom" odontology clinic. From 2008 to 2009 he was Vice Minister for Health . From 2009 to 2011 he worked as the head of the transport organization subdivision of the Department of Local Government and from 2011 to 2013 as the Deputy Director of the Department of Urban Economics and Transport in the Vilnius City Council . From 23 September 2013 to 2016 he was Deputy Minister of Social Protection, Deputy of Algimanta Pabedinskienė in the Butkevičius cabinet . Since January 10, 2018, he has been Vice Minister of Health, deputy to Aurelijus Veryga in the Skvernelis cabinet .

He is a member of the Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .
