Ali Akbar Moradi ( Persian علی اکبر مرادی; * 1957 in Kermanshah ) is a Kurdish singer from Iran . He is considered a representative of Kurdish music .

biography

Moradi was born into a Kurdish family in the western Iranian city of Kermanshah. He started making music at a young age and learned to play from Kurdish musicians such as Sayyed Veli Husseini , Sayyed Mirza Khafashyan , Sayyed Mahmoud Alevi and Allahmouradi Hamedi Tanbur .

In 1971 he gave his first solo concert in Kermanshah. In 1981 he organized concerts with the Kurdish musician Shahram Nazeri in major European and North American cities such as London , New York City and San Francisco . On September 30, 2006, he gave a concert with the Voices of Kurdistan program at the San Francisco World Music Festival. Moradi has released five albums so far.
