Ali Dinçer

Ali Dinçer (* 1945 in Rasgrad , Bulgaria , † April 18, 2007 in Ankara ) was a Turkish politician.

Dinçer's family emigrated to Turkey in the year he was born. He studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of the Middle East in Ankara.

Dinçer was president of the Turkish Chamber of Engineers as well as founding president of the Turkish city administration community and the community of capitals of Islamic countries. From November 11, 1977 to September 16, 1980, four days after the military coup , Dinç was mayor of Ankara.

He was a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for two terms . During his time as a Member of Parliament, he was President of the Foreign Affairs Commission and Deputy Speaker of Parliament. Dinçer was Minister of State in the 52nd government.

He was married to the jazz musician Yıldız İbrahimova .

In 2007 Ali Dinçer was buried in the Cebeci municipal cemetery .
