Ali Elkekli

Ali Elkekli (born September 4, 1989 ) is a Libyan weightlifter .

Career

Elkekli was the 2009 Junior African Champion. In 2011 he reached fourth place in the class up to 85 kg at the Pan-Arab Games . At the African Championships in 2012 he won the gold medal and he was part of the squad for the Olympic Games in London. Shortly before the games, however, he was tested positive for stanozolol during a training check and was banned for two years. After his suspension, Elkekli won gold at the first Africa-Asia Championships in 2014.
