Ali Kaiser Hasan Morshed (born October 1932 ) is a former Ambassador to Bangladesh .

Life

Ali Kaiser Hasan Morshed holds an honorary bachelor's degree from the University of Oxford . In 1956 he took up a law degree and in 1958 was Master of Laws at Harvard Law School. In 1966 he became a member of Lincoln's Inn and practiced the profession of barrister . In 1957 he joined the Foreign Service of the Republic of Pakistan and was employed in Brussels , Belgrade , Tokyo and Canberra . After the Bangladesh War he was Deputy High Commissioner for Bangladesh in Canberra from 1971 to 1972 .

From July 1972 to October 1976 he was Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka . From October 1976 to April 27, 1979 he was Ambassador of Bangladesh in Brasília , from May 1979 to July 1982 Ambassador in Bonn.

From 1982 to 1984 he was Permanent Representative of the Government of Bangladesh to the United Nations Office in Geneva. From 1984 to 1986 he was a permanent state secretary in the Foreign Ministry. From 1986 to 1988 he was ambassador in Berlin and was also accredited in Prague . He was retired in 1989 and was Chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of Peace & Security Studies until 1997. From 1990 to 2006 he was legal advisor at the Pakistani Foreign Ministry in Dhaka.
