Alice Pruvot-Fol (born August 4, 1873 in Saint-Aignan (Loir-et-Cher) , † March 28, 1972 in Paris ) born Fol, was a French malacologist who was particularly concerned with the hind gill snails (Opisthobranchia).

Life

Her husband was Georges Florentin Pruvot . They both married in 1926. They had two sons and a daughter. She described many new species, some only available as samples. So she z. B. a new species ( Nembrotha rutilans , Pruvot-Fol, 1931) is only described on the basis of a painted representation in a book by William Saville-Kent (1893) entitled The Great Barrier Reef (1893) in Australia.

She worked on naming new species into old age.
