Aline Pellegrino (born June 7, 1982 in São Paulo ), known as Aline , is a former Brazilian soccer player who played as a defender for the Russian club FK Rossijanka and several clubs in her native Brazil. She was a member of the Brazilian national team, which won the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and participated in the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup. She became the national team captain in 2006. In August 2011 she moved to the Russian Champions League fighter WFC Rossiyanka.

International career

Aline missed the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games after suffering a knee ligament injury in a pre-season game against South Korea . She had helped secure Brazil's entry into the tournament by appearing in a 5-1 win over Ghana in a CONMEBOL-CAF play-off in Beijing . Brazil went to the play-offs after losing to Argentina in the 2006 South American Women's Football Championship.
