Alcaios (son of Heracles)
Alkaios ( ancient Greek Ἀλκαῖος ) is a son of Heracles in Greek mythology .
According to Herodotus , he is the son of Heracles with a slave of Iardanos and is considered the progenitor of the Lydian ruling dynasty and thus the ancestor of the legendary Lydian king Sadyattes I. In the Suda he is the son of the daughter of Iardanos, the Lydian queen Omphale , where he is named as a war experienced fighter.
