Oldrich Kaiser
Oldřich Kaiser (born May 16, 1955 in Liberec , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech actor .
biography
Oldřich Kaiser studied acting at the Brno Conservatory and the Theater Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague , where he graduated in 1978. From 1977 to 1985 he was on the stage of Studio Ypsilon , where he played theater alongside actors such as Jiří Lábus and Martin Dejdar . From 1993 to 1999 he played at Prague's Národní divadlo . He made his screen debut in the 1973 published and Karel Kachyňa staged love on the side of Milena Dvorská and Jiří Pleskot . For his portrayal of old Jan Dítě in Jiří Menzel's historical film I Served the English King , Kaiser was nominated for Best Actor at the 2007 Czech Lion Film Prize. Three further nominations followed in 2011 and 2012 for Best Supporting Actor for his performances in Pouta (2010), Odcházení (2011) and Vendeta (2011).
From 1980 to 2005 Kaiser was married to the Czech actress Naďa Konvalinková . Together they are parents of the Czech actress Karolína Kaiserová (* 1983).
