Allée couverte from Haut-Bézon

The Allée couverte von Haut-Bézon (also called Allée couverte von Bézon) is located on the Rue du Chéne Vert, in Haut-Bézon , southwest of Ploërmel in the Morbihan department in Brittany in France .

In ancient texts there are references to two megalithic systems at this location. The monument, which is currently considered a monument, could therefore consist of the remains of two dolmens , a gallery grave in the south and a dolmen (with a side entrance) in the north. The remains of the tumulus of the dolmen seem to be visible on the east side. The building material is white inlaid quartz conglomerate . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

If it is a single monument about 10.0 m long with a rather bizarre architecture, the central part is missing. The area behind the separation point could represent the remains of a chamber.

Nearby are the Allée couverte of La Ville-Bouquet (in Ploërmel), the Dolmen La Ville au Voyer and the Allée couverte du Hino northeast of the city.
