The All Angels are a British female singing group that sings both classical and popular music.
Band history
Producer and manager Steve Abbott had previously had success with the Choirboys , a male singing group, with the crossover of classical and pop and therefore launched the female counterpart All Angels in 2006 . Four carefully selected young singers have been signed by Universal and over a million pounds invested in an advertising campaign. The debut album named after the group, which was released that same year, then sold faster than any classic album in Great Britain before: 33,000 copies were sold in the first week and reached number 9 on the pop charts. Musically, the repertoire ranged from Franz Schubert's Ave Maria to Robbie Williams ' Angels , which also became a smaller single hit for the quartet.
A year later, the similarly structured Into Paradise followed . It stayed in the charts for four weeks, but could not reach any higher positions. It took three years to get to album number three, Fly Away . This time the theme was North American music from Bernstein to Gershwin to Dylan . It reached number 54 in the UK.
In May 2011, the All Angels sang the UEFA Champions League anthem before the final at Wembley Stadium .
