Allan Hawco (born July 28, 1977 in Bell Island , Newfoundland and Labrador ) is a Canadian actor .

life and career

Allan Hawco was born on Bell Island , the youngest of four children, to a ferry worker and elementary school teacher . In his early childhood his family moved with him to Goulds . He attended a Catholic school . Hawco began studying at Memorial University of Newfoundland , which he broke off in favor of his engagements at the National Theater School of Canada .

Allan Hawco began his acting career in numerous plays on various stages, including at the National Theater School of Canada, which he graduated in 2000. His first television appearances include guest roles in Sue Thomas: FBI , Mutant X and Bliss . He gained fame through his involvement in the film H 2 O . In 2009, Hawco starred as Captain Mick Graham in the Zone of Separation miniseries . Since 2010 he has played the role of Jake Doyle alongside Seán McGinley in the CBC series Republic of Doyle - work for two , whose idea he was also.
