Allen-Bradley is a US company that is active in industrial control technology and automation. In particular, it produces programmable logic controllers (PLC) and is one of their pioneers ( Odo J. Struger ).

Allen-Bradley is based in Milwaukee , Wisconsin . The Allen-Bradley Clock Tower , opened in 1962, is a landmark in Milwaukee.

History

The company was founded by Lynde Bradley and Stanton Allen in 1903 with seed capital of US $ 1,000 as the Compression Rheostat Company . In 1910 the company was renamed the Allen-Bradley Company . On February 20, 1985, Allen-Bradley was acquired by Rockwell Automation .
