In the film-in-film drama (a film team is shooting the love story between Miriam and Emanuel ), volunteer Jan falls in love with the actress, who is actually a robot. Cynical comments from the technician and the encouragement from the costume woman push Jan to attack Miriam. She gets out of control and drives her human partner Emanuel, who also seeks advice from the costume woman, to despair. A turning point occurs when after meeting Jan, Miriam touches the scar of her partner Emanuel against the programming .
