Everything revolves around Michael is an eight-part German youth series from 1968.

action

The series tells the story of the teenager Michael Meiner, who temporarily lives with the lock keeper Wuttig because his father has to work abroad as a bridge builder.

Wuttig lives in a small house on the bank of a lake with his wife and daughter Brigitte. Michael and Brigitte make friends quickly and experience many little adventures together. Michael’s friends Berni, Pitt Brigitte’s friend Ilonka and Hannes the lock assistant are also part of the party.

Episodes

  1. The arrival broadcast date: November 3rd, 1968
    Michael's parents have to go to Finland for six months . Michael's father is building a bridge there. During this time, Michael will live with the Wuttig family. Mr Wuttig is a lock keeper. Mrs. Wuttig and daughter Brigitte furnish Michael's room and hope that he likes it. The next day Michael gets to know the operation in the lock.
  2. The Friends Air date: November 10, 1968
    Brigitte and Ilonka drive their rubber dinghy along the shore. The fishing lines of two boys get caught in the boat. Angry, the two let some air out of the boat. Brigitte tells the story back home. Michael wants to tackle the two times.
    Michael finds the two on the bank and starts a scuffle. However, he has no chance against both of them and is tied up while lying on the floor.
    The castellan sees the 3 and removes your hinges. Pitt and Bernie release Michal and flee together.
    At home, Michael incorrectly tells how he defeated the two. Brigitte proudly tells the school that Michael fought for her.
    The next day Michael and the two boys go to the fort to get the fishing rods back.
    The hinges are in a room with a locked door. The two boys lift Michael up so that he can fetch the hinges through the open window of the door.
    The castellan arrives, the two boys flee and Michael is arrested in the tower by the castellan.
    Brigitte learns of Michael's mishap and thinks about how she can free him.
    She goes to the castellan's and gives him tobacco for his pipe.
    The castellan releases Michael. From him, however, Brigitte learns that Michael was tied up on the floor when he took the boy's hinges.
    Brigitte is pissed off. When her father finds out about this, he asks her whether she has not also bragged about the alleged act of Michael.
    Michael and Brigitte make up again.
  3. The wallet sent date: November 17, 1968
    A skipper lets his dog fetch a stick without a break . Michael and his friends want to confront the skipper. However, the ship has already cast off. The friends find a wallet with a lot of money. Should this belong to the skipper?
  4. Robinson Air Date: November 24, 1968
    Inspired by the comandante's stories, Michael, Berni and Pitt also want to experience an adventure. They decide to live like Robinson for a few days on an island . The Comandante takes them in his boat to the island opposite his houseboat. After a short time the three friends notice that it is very difficult to get food on the small island. They think about how they can leave the island without losing face.
  5. The Trial of Strength Date of broadcast: December 1st, 1968
    Michael, Berni and Pitt watch their teachers bowling in the evening. The plan matures to play a trick on them. A teacher's car is painted brightly. A guerrilla war that lasts for days begins between the teacher and the students.
  6. The Secret Air Date: December 8th, 1968
    Michael, Berni and Pitt are playing with a remote-controlled airplane. When Michael takes over the remote control, the plane crashes. The three friends run to the presumed crash site, but do not find the plane. The next day, they see the plane near a bridge. Somebody must have put it there.
  7. Knight Games Aired on December 15, 1968
    As every year, the jousting games take place in the citadel . Robert, the castellan's nephew , is also expected. Brigitte, the lock keeper's daughter, likes Robert very much. There is an argument between Michael and Robert.
  8. The Farewell Air Date: December 22, 1968
    Michael really wants to go on a freighter one day. A skipper, brother of Mr. Wuttig, invites Michael for a trip. Michael rides his bike to the pier with Brigitte. However, Brigitte's bike broke down. A truck picks them up. When the two arrive, the ship is already gone. By chance they meet the skipper at a phone booth. Brigitte and Michael go on board. Michael wants to write an exciting report on the ship. At first nothing happens, but then events roll over.

Location

The shooting took place mainly at the Spandau lock in Berlin.

The main actor Michael Nowka was seen in the last episode of Till, the boy next door .

Only eight episodes were filmed instead of the usual 13 episodes.
