allgäu.tv (previously a.tv - fernsehen fürs allgäu and TV Allgäu Nachrichten, TVA for short ) is a local television broadcaster for the Allgäu region based in Kempten .

allgäu.tv started broadcasting on May 15, 2000 under the name TV Allgäu Nachrichten . In 2014 the station was given the name a.tv combined with a new corporate design and the slogan “ television for the allgäu ”. The station name is now written out as "allgäu.tv".

Shareholder

The broadcaster's shareholders are rta media GmbH (belonging to the Allgäuer Zeitung media group ) with 56%, the Sankt Ulrich Verlag media group from Augsburg with 30% and RT 15 GmbH , which holds the remaining 14%. The operator is Allgäu-TV GmbH & Co. KG. Its sister station is augsburg.tv .
