history

In January 1998, Allianz Gesellschaft für Informatik Service mbH (AGIS) was founded by outsourcing and merging three internal IT units from the German property, life and health insurance sectors. Unterföhring was chosen as the company headquarters. The company was also represented at seven other locations in Germany.

As part of the takeover of Dresdner Bank by Allianz, the cooperation between AGIS and the Dresdner Bank subsidiary DREGIS (Dresdner Global IT Services Gesellschaft mbH) began on January 1, 2002. In May 2003, the merger of the two IT service companies was completed with retroactive effect to January 1, 2003.

In 2005, AGIS sold its Singapore branch to an external provider. In February 2006 seven data centers in Germany were closed and the mainframes were centralized in Munich.

In July 2007, AGIS was renamed Allianz Shared Infrastructure Services GmbH (ASIC). ASIC had a European consolidation order from the Allianz Group and gradually integrated the IT infrastructures of the European Allianz companies.

On October 31, 2008 the conversion of the GmbH into a European stock corporation (Societas Europaea) became effective. With the new corporate form, the expansion of international business was accelerated.

In January 2010, ASIC opened its first overseas offices in Great Britain and Ireland . At the beginning of February 2010 an office was opened in the Netherlands , followed by a branch in Belgium in May 2010 .

In May 2010, ASIC was renamed Allianz Managed Operations & Services SE (AMOS) as part of the establishment of a global shared services provider for the Allianz Group . The activities of the former ASIC were transferred to AMOS and expanded.

In June and July 2011 branches were established in Austria and Switzerland . This was followed by branches in Singapore (September 2011) and India (August 2012) as well as Thailand (2015).

Corporate structure

In May 2013 around 1,800 people were employed in Munich, Frankfurt am Main and Stuttgart . At the same time, around 500 people were working in the branches for Allianz Technology.

As Societas Europaea (European stock corporation), Allianz Technology is a 100% subsidiary of Allianz SE. Barbara Karuth -zelle has been managing director of the board since February 2016.

The IT division comprises services for the Allianz national companies, for example in the area of ​​core insurance systems or workplace hardware and software. The Operations division supports activities to implement the Allianz operating model and operates the internal advisory unit of Allianz. In the Services area, the focus is on administrative services such as B. Purchasing, Real Estate and Financial Services.
