Allison to Lillia ( Japanese ア リ ソ ン と リ リ ア , also Alison & Lilia ) is an anime television series that was created from an adaptation of the two light novel series Allison and Lillia to Treize by the animation studio Madhouse . Both books were written by Keiichi Sigsawa . Masayoshi Nishida directed the 26 episode series . In Allison to Lillia , the world is divided into two great nations, known as Roxche ( ロ ク シ ェ , Rokushe ) and Sou Beil ( ス ー ・ ベ ー ・ イ ル , Sū Bē Iru ). In the fictional world, the beginning year of the events is numbered at 3287. During this long time, both nations have found themselves at war with each other, the last major conflict of which was 30 years ago. Since then, both nations have established a protection zone around the central river, while the technical level is roughly comparable to that of 1930.

The first half of the anime focuses on the very young and blonde pilot Allison Whittington, who joined the Roxche Air Force and gained a lot of experience in handling large airplanes. During a visit from her old friend Wilhelm Schultz (referred to as Will for short ) during the summer holidays, the cranked up girl keeps them both on the trail of unavoidable adventures through her daring actions. So both go through three bigger adventures, which also lead them to the land of the enemy Sou Beil again and again . Two different titles were used for opening and closing credits in the anime. The opening melody Tameiki no Hashi ( 溜 め 息 の 橋 ) was interpreted by the Kuricorder Quartet and Shione Yukawa, while the outro Sayonara no Omajinai ( サ ヨ ナ ラ の お ま じ な い ) was interpreted by Sō Matsumoto, also together with the Kuricorder Quartet.
