Allotalanta autophaea is a butterfly ( moth ) from the family of cosmopterigidae (Cosmopterigidae).

features

The moths reach a wingspan of 19 to 20 millimeters. The head is white ocher and pale ocher behind. The antennae are gray-brown. The labial palps are ocher, long, cylindrical and curved back. Thorax and tegulae are colored gray-brown. The forewings are finely speckled gray-brown on a shiny ocher-colored background. The hind wings are pale ocher and also have pale ocher fringed scales. The abdomen is gray-brown.

In the males, the brachia are fork-shaped, with the inner arm being slimmer and twice as long as the outer one. The blades are short and wide, the cucullus is rounded, the ventral edge is slightly concave. The Valvellae are about 3/4 as long as the Valven. They taper distally and have a hook-shaped tip. The aedeagus is very long and winds in a loop. The distal part is sclerotized and has a blunt tip. The proximal part is membranous and has a sclerotized margin on the inside. The cornuti are needle-shaped and arranged in a long, tapering band. The 8th tergite is sclerotized and forks distally. The two end links are provided with a tuft of bristles. The 8th sternite is provided with tufts of bristles. These are small in the middle of the rear edge of the segment and twice as large on the cusp in the middle of the segment.

The female genital fittings have not yet been described.

Way of life

The way of life of the species is not yet known. Butterflies were collected in June.
