Alois Binder
Alois Binder (born December 24, 1857 in Hausmannstätten near Graz , † after 1933 in Munich (?)) Was an Austrian genre, portrait and still life painter.
After attending the art academy in Graz , Binder studied from April 6, 1883 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Otto Seitz . After graduation, Binder stayed in Munich, where he had his own studio around 1890. He later also worked in Vienna.
He mainly painted folk genre pictures, alongside Bavarian landscapes and traditional costumes as well as portraits and still lifes. He repeated the most successful paintings several times with small changes.
