Alois Christen (born October 16, 1948 ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ) from the canton of Schwyz .

biography

The trained structural draftsman and bricklayer took over his parents' construction company in 1972 after various stays abroad and founded a stock corporation from it . From 1992 to 2000 he was a member of the Cantonal Council of Schwyz. Since July 1, 2000, he was on the government council , where he headed the military and police department. He has given up the management and board of directors of Christen AG. He was elected Landammann for the 2006 to 2008 term of office . He resigned from his position as a government councilor on June 30, 2008. With his resignation, the FDP lost a seat in the government council of the canton of Schwyz.

Christians are entitled to reside in Wolfenschiessen .
