Alois Dauenhauer

Alois Dauenhauer (born July 17, 1929 in Rodalben ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1975 to 1991 he was a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Life and politics

Alois Dauenhauer was born in Rodalben as the son of Andreas and Juliane Dauenhauer. He attended elementary school, high school and in 1950 passed the Abitur at the Leibniz Gymnasium Pirmasens . From 1950 to 1954 he was a civil service candidate, in 1954 he passed the second administrative examination and in 1959 the administrative diploma at the VWA Rhineland-Palatinate. From 1950 to 1975 Dauenhauer was employed by the Pirmasens district administration . From 1955 to 1973 he was head of the social department there, from 1973 to 1975 youth and social affairs department at the Pirmasens district administration, senior official.

Dauenhauer joined the CDU in 1948. He was long-time CDU local chairman and from 1974 to 1988 chairman of the CDU district association Pirmasens-Land. In the city ​​council of Rodalben Dauenhauer was parliamentary group spokesman for the CDU from 1963 to 1982, and between 1982 and 1994 he was honorary mayor of Rodalben. From 1972 to 1994 he was also an alderman in the Verbandsgemeinderat der Verbandsgemeinde Rodalben . In 1975 he became a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament and retained his mandate for four legislative periods until 1991. In the state parliament he was most recently chairman of the petitions committee and the penal commission. In 1989 he was a member of the 9th Federal Assembly .

In addition to his municipal and state political offices, Dauenhauer was active on a voluntary basis in various associations, among other things he was involved in the German Red Cross , for which he was district manager from 1955 to 1979 and then until 1997 as district chairman.

For his services he was made an honorary citizen of the city of Rodalben, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon in 1983 and was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class in 1989.

Dauenhauer is married and has two children.
