Alois Grath

Alois Grath (born January 23, 1939 in Marz ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 1984 to 1996 he was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

After primary school in Marz, Grath attended secondary school in Felixdorf . He then learned the trade of bricklayer and completed a three-year building trade school, which he successfully completed in 1961. In 1964 he passed the master builder examination and was employed as a construction site manager until 1969. In 1969 he switched to the Burgenland State Service, in 1977 he became managing director of the Wulkatal waste water association.

Grath joined the SPÖ in 1958 and worked as 2nd Vice Mayor and in 1967 and from 1972 to 1992 as Mayor in Marz. He represented the SPÖ from November 19, 1984 to June 27, 1996 in the state parliament and was regional chairman of Kinderfreunde from 1986 to 1990 .
