Alois Josef Ruckert

Alois Josef Ruckert (also Alois Joseph Ruckert; born February 13, 1846 in Stellberg ; † November 17, 1916 in Würzburg ) was a teacher (from 1881 until his retirement in 1904 in Würzburg, where he had attended the teachers' seminar) and writer. After moving several times, he spent his retirement in Geiselwind from 1912 .

Ruckert wrote dialect poems in Lower Franconian dialect and was mainly known through his book Unterfränkische Mundart. Contributions to a collection of expressions, idioms and proverbs, Würzburg [1901/1902] known.
