Alois Paulitsch

Alois Paulitsch (born June 5, 1926 in Klein-Winklern ; † October 12, 1996 in Klagenfurt ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and tax officer. Paulitsch was a member of the Federal Council from 1967 to 1970 and a member of the Austrian National Council from 1979 to 1986 .

Paulitsch attended primary school from 1932 to 1937 and the grammar school in Klagenfurt and St. Paul from 1937 to 1944. He was then drafted into the Reich Labor Service in 1944 and served in the Wehrmacht between 1944 and 1945 . After the end of the war Paulitsch studied between 1945 and 1949 rights to the University of Graz and received his doctorate in 1949, Dr. iur. After his legal practice, he became a civil servant at the Financial Directorate for Carinthia, for which he worked from 1949 to 1990. From 1962 he was also an employee of the Austrian Association of Academics and from 1963 to 1979 State Party Secretary of the ÖVP Carinthia. In 1981 he was awarded the title of Hofrat.

Paulitsch represented the ÖVP Carinthia from December 19, 1967 to March 20, 1970 in the Federal Council and was then a member of the Carinthian state parliament from 1970 to 1979. Between 1972 and 1979 he was the club chairman of the Carinthian ÖVP, after which he moved to the National Council, of which he was a member from June 5, 1979 to December 16, 1986. Paulitsch was also regional chairman of the ÖAAB Carinthia from 1979 to 1985.
