Alois Pindl (born June 17, 1920 in Regensburg ) is a German businessman and school founder.

Career

Pindl was born in Regensburg as the youngest of nine children of the married couple Josef and Franziska Pindl. During World War II, he served on the front lines in Russia for three years and fell into British captivity towards the end of the war. After returning home in 1946, he accepted a position in the field of professional orientation at the German Trade Union Federation (DGB). After a year he became head of the office and expanded the DGB's offerings in Lower Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate with 125 teachers. In 1948 the DGB ceased its activities in this field. Pindl then founded his own private business school, where he offered courses for secretaries, accountants, foreign languages, shorthand and typewriter courses as well as special courses for returnees. Later he built a secondary school and a private grammar school in the former children's clinic of the Blue Sisters, which he had acquired for two and a half million marks.

In 2017, the Pindl private schools operated six schools in Regensburg (high school, FOS, secondary school, business school, children's home), Straubing (business school) and a boarding school, which is also located in Regensburg.
