Alois Steinecker (* 1857 ; † 1943 ) was a German building contractor.

Steinecker was born as the fourth son of a long-established and wealthy Freising family of landowners. After graduating from the trade school in Freising, he began to study construction at the industrial school in Munich . After an internship in Bohemia, he returned to Freising in the early 1880s, where he married Mathilde Forsteneicher's daughter, a pharmacist, in 1882, who, however, died at the age of 34. His second wife Anna Berta also died before him in 1935. In 1875, his brother Anton Steinecker founded the Anton Steinecker machine factory, a manufacturer of brewery equipment, which is now part of Krones AG .

As a result, Steinecker built up a major construction company. He supplied two bought brick factories from his own clay pits. His company network also included a sawmill, a building materials store and a large agricultural property. With the northern expansion of Freising and the construction of two barracks, Steinecker rose to become one of the city's wealthiest and most influential entrepreneurs.

For his services, Steinecker was initially appointed to the council of commerce . In 1935 the city of Freising granted him honorary citizenship . Alois-Steinecker-Straße , which runs on the former factory premises, was named after him.
