Alois Stimpfle (* 1954 in Maihingen ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian and professor of biblical theology with a focus on the New Testament .

Life

Stimpfle studied in Augsburg at the university there , where he received his Dr. theol. received his doctorate. He then worked at the University of Augsburg, first as a research assistant, and from 1994 as a senior assistant. In 1994 he completed his habilitation with a study on Pontius Pilatus , also at the University of Augsburg.

Stimpfle was appointed Professor of Biblical Theology by Leibniz University Hannover in 1998 with a research focus on the New Testament

Stimpfle also works at the Hildesheim University Foundation .

He is married and has three children.
