The Alpenrosenhütte is a farmed hut the hut Category I of Section Schorndorf of the German Alpine Club . It is located in the Kitzbühel Alps in the municipality of Westendorf in the Kitzbühel district in the Austrian state of Tyrol .
history
The hut was built between 1924 and 1926 with a surface area of 9 × 6.6 meters; it was then bought in 1926 by the keep section of the DuOeAV . In 1956 the veranda was converted into a guest room measuring 4 × 6.6 meters. In 1978 the hut was sold to the Schondorf Section of the German Alpine Club , which in 1982 added an upper floor as a bed and built a storage room and a ski room on the ground floor. In 2010 the chairlift at the hut was dismantled, whereupon the hut was classified as Category I.
In 2016 the hut was demolished and replaced by a new building in a similar style.
