Alpine Club Contract House

PES contract house Hochwurzenhütte

Alpine Club Contract Houses (also Alpine Club Contract Houses ) are privately run guest and accommodation establishments that grant members of the Alpine Club and their peers a discount on the respective room rate (even if they only stay one night) on presentation of a valid membership card. The companies undertake to contract a locally resident or neighboring or regionally responsible Alpine Club section . The establishment of such contract inns is felt to be particularly important by long-distance hikers because there are often no corresponding bases in valleys or in the foothills of the Alps.

The concept is offered by the German Alpine Association (DAV), Austrian Alpine Association (ÖAV) and Alpine Association South Tyrol (AVS). As of the beginning of 2020, there are over 100 such contract houses in the Alpine region. Contract houses must not be in competition with an Alpine Club hut .
