The Gsengalmhütte is located in the Lammertal at 1,447 m above sea level. A. Height on the eastern edge of the Tennengebirge in the Salzburger Land . It has only been cultivated in summer for a few years and has become a popular destination for hikers. The hut is also a good starting point for mountaineers who can go on tours in the eastern Tennengebirge from here.
Accesses
- From Abtenau with the gondola to the Karkogel ( 1140 m ), then on foot over the Karriedel to the hut, walking time: 1 hour
- From Abtenau by car to the Karalm ( 1000 m , parking lot), then over the Karriedel to the hut, walking time: 1½ hours
- From Abtenau-Fischbach via Eggenreith and Schoberwald , walking time: 2 hours
- From Annaberg im Lammertal either via Schoberwald or via Gwechenberghütte , walking time each 2½ hours
