Accommodation company
An accommodation company is a company that provides people with overnight accommodation (usually for a fee) ( accommodation ). In addition to catering, accommodation is one of the two major sectors of the hospitality industry .
Accommodation establishments are subject to special legal bases such as the accommodation contract and the guest accommodation contract.
Classification according to DEHOGA
The German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA), the industry association of the German hotel and catering industry, distinguishes between different operating modes in the hotel industry . This definition of the operating modes is based on the international terminology standard DIN EN ISO 18513 ( tourism services - hotels and other types of tourist accommodation - terminology ) and the German tourist information standard (TIN) of the German Tourism Association (DTV).

- Farm : an actively managed farm that offers rooms for rent
- Boardinghouse (Serviced Apartment): a type of accommodation in an urban environment; accommodation for a longer period is possible; These companies also offer various services, such as cleaning and room service
- Holiday apartment, holiday home, apartment : a self-contained accommodation within a building, which has a sanitary area and self-catering facility and is intended for temporary stays by people
- Guest house : differs from a hotel in that it offers a limited range of services; Meals are only given to house guests
